If the authors of the bible were so fallible and should not be used for biblical guidance in life, then why in the world would I want to believe anything Hedges says. He's just as fallible and even more fallible than those authors.View attachment 512023

This has always fascinated me about our differences. I believe that both of us are saved by the blood in Christ and salvation is the key for everything else you do in your life after that. Yet I believe that as fallible as we are as humans we need the gospel to go to for direction. If it's incorrect in places in it's teachings, then we are all being misled. We both walk with God's guidance but we come to different conclusions as to what sin is.

Don’t like it? True. Don't believe it? not true. God‘s perfect plan is probably uncomfortable to most peoples flesh.
It contains the Gospel within. You've said in the past we don't need the Bible at all but we are told within its pages how God sent.his Son to die for us. It contains a history of his life and teachings. Tells us how he died and arose from death. How exactly would we know all of that without the Bible?

yes, and that the gospel is message, teaching, moral compass. It's the best source we have as a guide for life. The old testament is it's history lesson with the new testament being it's guide for His message and guide for moral compass guiding our life decisions. The ultimate message being "Jesus in our place".

If some of the Bible is not true, all of the Bible is not true and everything is a lie. That is the point.
You said what you believe to be true and untrue about the Bible is between you and God. Yet you tell us all the time it's a flawed book that you are free to accept or reject.
