I've had no problem with Medicare and a mid-range supplemental insurance plan. Granted I haven't had anything major happen but it has been used (annual check ups-a few X-rays- see a orthopedic specialist-urgent care). So far I haven't spent a dime out of my pocket for something not being covered by that combination. My wife is anxious to get on it in 3 months because right now its costing us almost $900 bucks a month just for her totally worthless/ high co-pay insurance plan.
I know you had to bitch about it some ... you bitch about everything!

This is my experience too.....was paying $900 a month, Medicare came along and it was like getting a raise in monthly income. Because of major stuff, some months for me have been over $40,000.00, with normal being $12-15,000 and I've not paid a penny. I have Medicare and Plan friend from Health Net. The timing was "just right" and was able to avoid/escape Obamacare

You "escaped" receiving subsidies that would have lowered that monthly premium depending on your income?

You don't know my situation......up, up and more up !! Keep defending Obama........no premiums of mine were being lowered...in fact the last letter I rec'd under that coverage was a notice of increasing premiums "due to Obamacare."

Did you try finding coverage through the exchanges? That's where you get the subsidies. My premiums have gone up every year of my life and plenty of that was before the ACA. As long as we use a profit driven system premiums will continue to go up. The ACA provides subsidies based on your income and what percentage of that income your premium would be.
Republicare would give me a much larger tax credit than the subsidy I get through the ACA. I make too much for an ACA subsidy, but I'm the type of person being helped by Republicare. It's a very regressive bill.

If you didn't qualify for a subsidy, you are probably well off and not hurting. As far as increasing premiums, you can thank the health insurance industry and healthcare industry in general. Everyone wants a piece of the pie.

Like qualifying for a subsidy is a good thing..........
"Oh no, if I make that much I'll lose my food stamps!!" That's the problem today!!

I may have bitched about getting a tiny raise in SS this year (1st time in 3 years) only to have Medicare rates go up the same amount. I have to bitch about something you know.

That is the biggest problem with Republicare. People that aren't hurting for money get the same tax credits as people making minimum wage. Taxing the poor to pay the rich. Regressive and shameful.
