Saturday volume increase?

Our center was told Saturday volume is increasing by "triple" in 2 weeks. All air routes will become full routes and and the full routes' stops will increase but miles will decrease significantly and feel like regular weekday routes.

Any other Saturday guys getting the same message and if so how do you feel about it?

We were told that they were speeding up the lanes and that much of the volume that came in on Monday was going to be processed on Saturday instead. Not sure how that is going to work but also told they were going to have little volume on Monday except a couple trailers and leftover stuff from Saturday.

And where are they going to get all of the Saturday drivers?

With Saturday volume going so high for our building, our Monday is almost Nothing. They forced and asked for volunteers first to move to the Tues-Sat Shift... Some were forced...

If Saturday is so necessary, why hold anything back?

No Monday-Friday driver should take off Monday. Let the company pay everyone.
For the Pre-Load they asked, then forced people to change the work week to Tues-Sat. I am sure they are doing it with the drivers as well.

There has not been any talk in the up of Michigan about running any Saturday ground as of right now it is still 30 stops of air and a couple pickups

Forcing low seniority/covers that didn't have bid routes by Aug 1st 2018 into Tues-Sat drivers.

Making people in progression try to decide between staying cover at RPCD progression or taking a 22.4 position thereby taking a lower progression/top wage till they can land a RPCD bid.

This sounds like it's going to be a big mess.
Can't wait to see how this plays out.
