Technically and practically you’re wrong.
Hey, you bought it so you’re smarter than the millions that didn’t.
I’m sure part of it is to impress the neighbors.
“Sedan”….LOL Buick?
They're already superior at almost everything, but not at every price. They're still a premium item. There is a waiting line for every car Tesla makes, and they're doubling production every year.

It's only a matter of time before they win on price too.

EVs are better at most things for most people. I'm sorry you can't admit it.
EVs might be better for most people who drive cars. What about those of us who own pickup trucks? Where I live, sedans are the minority of the vehicles on the roads, trucks and SUVs are the most common vehicle. There isn’t an EV pickup on the market that can tow any of the trailers I own, or have enough ground clearance to make it into my hunting camp.

EVs have their advantages and their instant torque would be great for towing, but the EV market offerings aren’t there to support your statement yet, at least not in semi-rural America where plenty of others like myself live.

It’s only a matter of time before space travel becomes affordable too.
Look, you are a consumer who has to justify your purchase.
You’re not seeing the big picture…
You’re largely a “dreamer”.
Tesla will go bankrupt and smaller electric cars will take people a few miles.
Battery technology is not leading edge.

My statement was that EVs would overtake gas on almost everything over time. The cybertruck is more capable than most gas offerings, but to truly beat them on most features and on price at the same time, it'll take a few years. The factory is just getting finished.

The premium version of the cybertruck has 16'' of ground clearance, 14k lb towing capacity, the best approach and departure angles available, and great payload. You have to go super-premium in a heavy diesel truck to beat it at most things.

Oh, and 500 mile range and it's quicker to 60 than most performance cars.

I read the article and maybe I’m missed it but who is this tax aimed at? As in who’s paying it? Is UPS supposed to pay it like the tolls and bridge fees? I’m a feeder driver and run almost 100k miles a year, i hope it’s aimed at the companies and not the drivers.

I’m not your bro.
My point is clear….you just are incapable of accepting it.
Pay attention!
I started my comments to you asking how the generators will be powered to charge these electric cars.
Your smart ass typically liberal response was “do you understand largely”?

YOU don’t know WTF you’re talking about.
Get it now.. “bro”?

Did you know that power comes from a power grid? Why do I have to explain that to you?

Maybe we do. We have this things that burn really good or turn spinny things really fast, and they push electro-juice through this tubes that we have connected all over the country.

Electric cars are called electric because they run on this electro-juice that is produced by spinny things.

Wow…are you trying to act stupid?
So, my example of the rural gas stations that are Everywhere will get their power from the magical grid you are regretting to?
Forget Voltage drop and reality…

You do realize that just about all places in the United States have electricity now, right?

How old are you?

By design, the Tesla Cybertruck isn’t an option. My trailers hook in the bed, you can tow a gooseneck or 5th wheel trailer on a truck with angled bed sides like that because you can’t turn without the trailer hitting the bed.

14k pounds towing and 3500lbs of payload isn’t “great” by any standard, it’s pretty much on par with most half-ton or gas 3/4 ton trucks.

I’ll keep my 1 Ton Ram and it’s Cummins diesel until there’s an HD EV that doesn’t cost 50% more to purchase.

FWIW with all of the emissions BS the EPA has choked out Diesel engines with, I’m not opposed to an EV at all, but the offerings just aren’t there yet. I struggle with the idea of paying more money for a less capable vehicle.

This is subjective statement and doesn’t mean anything for its performance, but to me the Cybertruck suffers from the same issue most Hybrids and EVs do, being that it’s just plain ugly.
