All the more reason to plan for retirement, and stay healthy.

Just say'n dude.

Part of that planning for retirement, could include getting competent negotiators to negotiate a good health plan for our retirement. I guess, getting good negotiators to do what they are payed for. Payed by us, not UPS.

Judging by the performance of our negotiators and our present contract, someone could assume that.

I'm guessing, you have never served the membership.... in an elected position.

Or, negotiated a contract. Do you know what "fact finding" is ?

There was 30 year veteran who posted (recently).... that in 30 years....

had no savings, and was relying just on his pension ?

All dues paying members, have the opportunity to vote for elected officials.

Hate the game.... not the player.

@twoweeled....Life is not fair.

Anyone running for office that says they could change things, is lying.

Fred Z is a prime example.

1. No, Yes.

2. Wrong thing to do not saving and preparing, but making it even more difficult on him doesn't make it any better by raising expenses on healthcare or anything else for that matter when now on a fixed income.

3. a. If I get your point correctly, Zuckerman isn't in office. b. AS far as anyone running or in office not being able to change things? True, not alone anyways. I get the difficulty of that. I really do. I've always felt the membership cutting our own throats for not standing up or stepping forward.

If staying healthy was attainable all on our own then I would say that's on us. We do our best and hope for longevity but as you we'll know, it's not always our call.

You have a right to your opinion.

I've seen things from an angle most members haven't and that's what I base

my opinion on. Let's face it.... when only 30% of the members even bother to

vote on their own contract, it's hard not to believe my opinion is correct.

Was it always that way?....

.....or is "that way" being driven by the status quo???

It's almost like they prefer and depend in it being "that way", as there's certainly been no attempts to curb this "status quo"?

.....with the recent notable exception of Sean O, and we know what happened to him.

What was the line -scb- used to say ?

"You can lead a teamster to knowledge.... but, you can't make him think." ?

Something like that.

I don't have all the answers.

Most times.... I am just trying to defend what I see as absolute BS.

(and there is a considerable amount)
