And here you see the real problem. It's not just that the person making these decisions doesn't know your job (and probably couldn't handle it even if they did), it's that they think they are somehow better than you because you are "just a driver".

To be fair, I almost never see this attititude in the frontline supervisors and managers who are close to work and see what we do every day. My supervisor could care less what I'm wearing on my feet (up to a point) because he has bigger things to worry about, and half the time he's on the road himself.

Leave it to some broke-dick in Atlanta who couldn't find his ass without a map to worry about my shoes...
