Isn't it awlful. Could be another world wide recession. This time no more money left for stimulus. The double dip recession.... I sure hope not.

Its time to kiss the Euro goodbye. Even if they bailout Greece they still have Spain, Portugal, and Italy to worry about. The creation of the government nanny state has created chickens that have come home to roost. You can't guarantee health care, retirement at age 55, and a host of other things without creating a flimsy economy supported by huge government debts due to explode sometime in the near future. The DOW is a victim of this mess, but will rebound as time marches on and Europe has a reduced influence in the global economy.

I'm thinkin' it was a 'glitch'. Hubby tried to jump in for some options and couldn't get on to his account.

The people who jumped in on Procter & Gamble when Cramer said to made tons of $$$.

I've had PG for years and they never pay the dividends as well as UPS. I didn't make Beucoup $$$ as I didn't sell and won't for a while.
The "Glitch" is probably a Government thing to ease our concerns about Greece and the EU, in general.
I DO know that I'm getting $0.47 a share next month and that feels good. 4X a year!!!

hang on to your wallets tomorrow the job report comes out and it will be another dump europe day.

Nope, it will rebound ! Since today was a mix up, with someone dumping 1 Million shares, but mistakenly was read or typed in with 1 Billion shares.

I can't believe our entire stock market hinges upon whether someone has fat thumbs or not !!!

Now, wouldn't it be something, if it was Goldman Sachs pretending to dump 1 Billion shares.... and buying them all back as the market dropped ? :knockedout:

US Payrolls Jump by 290,000 But Jobless Rate Hits 9.9%

Census hiring contributed 66,000 jobs. ( temp jobs ).
The unemployment rate, however, rose to 9.9 percent as discouraged workers re-entered the labor force to look for work.
About 8.2 million jobs were lost during the recession and economists warn it is likely to take years to regain that lost employment.
