US Payrolls Jump by 290,000 But Jobless Rate Hits 9.9%

Census hiring contributed 66,000 jobs. ( temp jobs ).
The unemployment rate, however, rose to 9.9 percent as discouraged workers re-entered the labor force to look for work.
About 8.2 million jobs were lost during the recession and economists warn it is likely to take years to regain that lost employment.

But you live your life in paranoia making life decisions based on it. I simply find such curiosities amusing because one day the 1% is going to get it in the arse just like the rest of us have been. They have reason to be worried; you and I don't but in your self important mind you've convinced yourself you do.

I make life decisions based on safety....not paranoia. When 96% of the fake bombs and guns got through TSA at the airport, I'm steering clear of the airports, because they are not safe....proven so.

Incorrect. When 99.9995% of flights go without a hitch but you base decisions on the .0005% of fake items getting through, that's the definition of paranoia.

Excuse you???? 96% of the things tried....got past the scrutiny (or lack thereof) of the TSA. Had they been real guns or real bombs they would've gotten through......also, now the 'bad guys' know they can get it through. The TSA is incompetent but they are there to supposedly keep us safe........dumb us if we believe that crap.

Its time to kiss the Euro goodbye. Even if they bailout Greece they still have Spain, Portugal, and Italy to worry about. The creation of the government nanny state has created chickens that have come home to roost. You can't guarantee health care, retirement at age 55, and a host of other things without creating a flimsy economy supported by huge government debts due to explode sometime in the near future. The DOW is a victim of this mess, but will rebound as time marches on and Europe has a reduced influence in the global economy.

The news from Greece is not earth shattering .
Many from the stock market dumping their holdings years ago when the first crisis was noticed .
