I have had a Teamster healthcare plan since Day One and am completely satisfied with my coverage.
That's great. To switch from what we have now to Teamcare would not be like for like nor would it be an improvement. It would be a step down in coverage. Just talking about H&W. I've seen the SPD for Teamcare. It's good, not great.

When you go to work on Monday ask some of your customers what kind of coverage they have.
I think the communications were lacking during the last negotiations. They know it, and you know it. Frick we all know this. I'd really love to know what makes a guy like you tick. What you want is all I'm asking. You are a Teamster and from what I gather an elected steward. You are also a firecracker. I think you also understand the political climate we are in right now. We need to find real solutions. I understand you are angry with the past but we need to figure out how to get past this and preserve what we have.
Are you at all alarmed by the House, senate, and the White House being under control of the GOP? Do you see that jobs like ours are not valued by these three entities?

All good points brother. Honestly these people here are so pissed still that anything they do probably won't be good enough.
My local trusted their leaders and the ibt for my whole career. It took a few guys to stand out side with trashpicked signs to wake up people. Over 80% voted against the wishes of the Ibt and our local leaders.
If you had a vote here now on the same BS I bet it would be 95% or higher NO.
we hope the ibt learned a lesson from the members of local 623. Those glossy postcard are very expensive for the ibt to send out.

This is the crap our union sent the piss poor part timers. They still voted no.
"Vote no again and ups will close up phl and you will all lose your jobs"
I can go on.
These are reasons the trust is lost brother.

We don't want Teamcare .... point blank period. It's been a disaster.
We lost a lot and gained nothing
Harassment is at an all time high
Subcontracting is at an all time high
The healthcare change didn't hurt myself much but i have many part timers who I represent who are suffering.
I am single with no children.
I'm healthy. I don't use it much.
For over 20 years It was just a good feeling knowing you had a company provided blue cross and blue shield card in your pocket that you could use without hesitation
Please don't say times change.
I have very close friends in the ibew and operating engineers union. They still have their excellent healthcare that is superior to Teamcare .
The ibt has turned into a business
They are making millions by taking thousands of $ per employee from ups , and buying lower costing healthcare.
To take a members vote from them is not right. WE will NEVER forget that.
What union does that ?
The IBT don't care about you or me anymore.
THEY ARE IN THE HEALTHCARE BUSINESS
NOW !
A scab has more rights at ups then us.
They stroll onto property, bypass security
Have their Hooker in the jump seat and a dog in the back. Most of theM I question their legal citizenship and criminal record.
I have to be a 100% clean individual to work at phl. We all go through intensive background checks Why doesn't the scab who's stealing our work ?
All issues the the ibt knows about and turns their head.
Morale is at an all time low but brother
Believe me 623 is united and ready to battle
I for one could care less if junior or Fred was in charge. In fact I didn't even vote.
The ibt has proved to us that no matter who's in charge the members have no choice.
If the ibt doesn't like the way a contract vote goes they will just do what they have already done to us.

I have had this feeling for 28 years. The only time that I hesitate is when I need to decide if my medical issue(s) require a trip to the ER or they can wait until I can get in to see my PCP.
Either you don't understand Taft Hartley plans or you intentionally are trying to misinform readers.
You have no credibility and when your own members eventually find out you're a fraud, remember we tried to help.

A healthcare plan that can be used without hesitation
Don't say it can't be done.
Ibew local 98 has one and so does many others. Our union is stealing from us
