Tea Party

O.K. folks, here it is. You may think you are just one voice and what you think won't make a difference. Well, yes it will and YES, WE CAN!! If you are disgusted and angry with the way Washington is handling our taxes. If you are fearful of the fallout from the wreckless spending of BILLIONS to bailout and "stimulate" without accountability and responsibility then we need to become ONE, LOUD VOICE THAT CAN BE HEARD FROM EVERY CITY, TOWN, SUBURB AND HOME IN AMERICA. There is a growing protest to demand that Congress, the President and his cabinet LISTEN to us, the American Citizens. What is being done in Washington is NOT the way to handle the economic free fall.

So, here's the plan. On April 1, 2009, all Americans are asked to send a TEABAG to Washinton , D.C. You do not have to enclose a note or any other information unless you so desire. Just a TEABAG. Many cities are organizing protests. If you simply search, "New American Tea Party", several sites will come up. If you aren't the 'protester' type, simply make your one voice heard with a TEABAG. Your one voice will become a roar when joined with millions of others that feel the same way. Yes, something needs to be done but the lack of confidence as shown by the steady decline in the stock market speaks volumes.

Send to : 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. Washington, D.C. 20500
I'm sending mine !!

Now that is a wonderful plan. And if we sent it in a box, now that would really back up the system.........or if in a letter send it certified:greedy:

If you send the store brand, they won't take you serious but if it's name brand like Liptons, I'm sure they'll pay real close attention.

:happy-very:

Something else that use to work but USPS may do different now is address your letters using the DC zip code but in place of Washington DC write in Disneyland East. I have to thank the late Congressman Larry McDonald for telling me about that little diddy and he always had fun telling us about a certain Congressman whose office got swamped with letters addressed to Disneyland East and then hearing them 8itch about it. I often think Larry put us up to this for his own schitts and giggles but we got our laughs out of it too!

Good luck with your tea party!

Is there an American company that makes tea bags? I dont know i never buy the stuff. I still honor the original tea party back in 1774. Anyway I recommend sending one from an American company. Our economy could use it.

Enjoy your "TEABAGGIN" party. Sounds kinky !

May I make a suggestion though ? It would be much more effective if you send one of those "thing-a-ma-jigs" hanging from the rear trailer hitch of a pick up truck than an actual tea bag......That would really get their attention.....Espescially Rep Senators.......:st_patrick:<-----I started early.....lol

"The Boston Tea Party Society called upon Americans to send teabags to Congress Saturday to protest huge spending and higher taxes. Be sure and send decaffeinated tea bags. Every time Congress stays up past midnight they vote themselves a pay raise." -Argus Hamilton-

My yes, a spot of tea to wash down all that pork!!!

I'm gonna add some crushed up ciggies as part of my protest.
Perhaps the idea of regulating one of our longest running scandals,
The Tobacco Companies, may become a glimmering thought...
