Because there is no such thing as the tea party. Republicans treated Dr. Paul like a crazy old man then tried to hijack the movement. It didn't take long before they pretty much destroyed any credibility behind the "tea party" idea.

So true! And now that the GOP has had their use of the Tea Party, the GOP wants them to just go away. Our local Tea Party opposed the use of tax dollars to build a sports stadium for the benefit of a specific sports interest which I thought was a very principled stand. But to no surprise, no so-called liberal interest spoke up to also oppose this action of corp. welfare.

OH WAIT! The local Occupy movement did but for some reason the media didn't cover it nor did the local democrat machine grant them voice. Imagine that. But some of the Occupy and Tea Party folk did begin to talk as a result.
