Temp cover driver days worked guestion

So I'm a temp cover driver running tuesday through saturday but I was asked to come in on moday (which I did). Because of this can I request saturday off or are they gonna throw the "if your under 60 hours you're working saturday" bull?

You'll be working Saturday, Monday was extra. If you don't want the hours why come in Monday?

Honestly I kinda assumed that id get saturday off if I worked a monday through friday. Its dumb to assume that, I've worked here to long to think that. Ill just take my time on saturday.

They have to ask the top guys first here. It's considered extra work if you aren't on the Saturday schedule

you can refuse to work Monday if it wasn't posted on Friday that you were being forced in. I'm high up but when I was new and didn't want to work on Sat or Xmas eve I found it was best to not have 8 hours available.
