Texas school shooting

If everyone was carrying this would have never happend. Shame on Texas.
That young man would not have died in that police shootout if he enough firepower to keep the cops pinned down long enough to have escaped. Once again it's about the fundamental Second Amendment right to bear arms. The right to buy as many guns as you want. In whatever caliber you want. At whatever rate of fire you want. And most important of all.... the right to use them in whatever way you want. Given the proven psychological treatment benefits the thrill of the kill provides to even the most mentally deranged among us the continued availability of that form of treatment must be preserved..... A public service announcement from America's gun lobby.

You can't go out and by a Howitzer or a .50 caliber machine gun so your argument is ludicrous. The reason we have a 2nd Amendment is for self protection from both our fellow citizens and our government. If instead of attacking that school he had gone door to door killing people in your view those people shouldn't have the means to protect themselves. You never seem to make the connection that when law abiding citizens have their guns taken away law breakers will still have theirs. And insane people like this kid will find a way to obtain a gun or some other means to do bodily harm.

So sad. Depending on how this turns out, this might end up being the deadliest school shooting ever. As of now, 14 children and one teacher dead. All killed by an 18 year old who possibly killed his grandmother first. The town is only seven sq miles wide so that means many of the people probably know each other.
thoughts and prayers?

Sorry, but I don’t care anymore.

"We can't do anything about it" Same excuse we've heard out of the gun lobby ever since Columbine. But did you notice how fast a gun bill went through when a GOP president got shot?

You think it would've gone through slower if a Democrat had been shot? There's plenty of things we can do about it. Start with enforcing the laws on the books. And if Democratic jurisdictions are going to make a farce of the law by letting criminals back out on the streets almost immediately then damn straight average citizens should be armed to protect themselves.
