Nope.

Illinois took the No. 1 spot on the list, thanks in large part to its high property taxes. The Land of Lincoln was followed by Connecticut and New York, both of which have pretty high-income taxes.

The 10 least tax-friendly states:
1. Illinois
2. Connecticut
3. New York
4. Wisconsin
5. New Jersey
6. Nebraska
7. Pennsylvania
8. Ohio
9. Iowa
10. Kansas

I've never complained about the taxes here in WI or really cared what they were. Lowering the tax rate from 6% to 5.9% looks good on a headline but doesn't mean :censored2:.

Is this because there is at least one bar on every city block and one every mile in the country? Too drunk to care?

40% of multinational profits are shifted to tax havens each year

Researchers from the University of California, Berkeley and the University of Copenhagen estimate that close to 40% of multinational profits (more than $650 billion in 2016) are shifted to tax havens each year. This shifting reduces corporate income tax revenue by nearly $200 billion, or 10% of global corporate tax receipts.

Makes sense. Tax high and they will leave.
