Here you've got a case of a writer who knows that blaming NATO for Putin's invasion of Ukraine is obviously retarded. But he still supports Putin so he has to pretend his reasons for invading must be so deep and so profound that they're basically conveniently undiscoverable. What a tool.
And the URL of that piece indicates that its publication date is March 30, 2022. At that time Russian forces were still north of Kiev and Ukraine's readiness to declare neutrality and receive a security guarantee probably was their best option. But it's been 2 months since then. Russia has been pushed out of the north of Ukraine and continues its assault on the country's south and east. So pointing at the state of things as of March 30 and trying to apply them to right now seems to be for dumb dumb comrades.
