A friend of mine got in a bad accident on his motorcycle.
The EMT's said he was dead.
A nurse on her way to work and who typically didn't take this road to work stopped and checked my friend and determined he wasn't dead. That nurse stayed with my friend until they got to the hospital.

This is one of the reasons I'm not an organ donor.
In an over zealous rush to harvest organs the donor may not be dead yet.
