The local kept our check to pay Union dues.

Sounds like they never actually issued the checks to their members because, if they had, each would have had to sign them back over to the local and I don't see that happening.

Right I never saw a check and when asked about it was told it went to pay dues.

What you mean is your local diverted the funds that would have been used to issue those checks toward union dues. The actual checks were never cut/issued.

If the Local didn't have any evidence, of someone being on strike duty....

They didn't cut a check.

My Local was very meticulous, in documenting it.

I think you missed the point. His local, rather than cut strike checks, kept the money for union dues instead, regardless of you manned the picket line or not.

Most members, would benefit and be happier.... in a strong Local.

Inwondert how much is in the strike fund. They did increase our dues after the strike,saying it was going into the strike fund.

UPS Teamsters will never have the "guts" to do it again.
