Our local supplement. Over 80% turnout. 90% voted no. Impasse was declared, so we were stuck with it. No 3rd offer no chance for a strike vote.

The local for hourlies is a joke here. There has been one meeting in the last year, and it was cancelled because of a hockey game on tv. I feel bad for guys who pay into the union. They get the benefits they deserve. But no protection in return.
Heck I as a sup could unload the stewards package car every night and he wouldn't care. I don't as a matter of principle, but I feel bad for guys who do actually pay to stop that.

We voted no..twice. Didn't have the opportunity for a strike vote.
Didn't say I wanted to walk. But I was willing if need be.

An 80% vote turnout is huge. I've never seen that before in a ups vote. In the local 89 vote it was about 30%. Wow
I was impressed with the turnout. We worked hard to get people to vote. Even the newbies voted. Now after this how can you get people involved.
It was a big slap to the face. And a black eye for the union.
