With the Diad V you can send the EDD to another Diad from a good 10 ft away.

It doesn't have blue tooth (or whatever it is the 4 and 5 have) None of you ever downloaded edd on a III during peak?

Had to take the diad to a computer with a sensor on top of it and download it there.

Yeah, thats right. You had to use those infrared stations to get EDD on 1 to III then IV and V were wireless.
