There’s a reason we have campaign finance laws. People should know where a candidate is getting their money and what they are spending it on. In this case the source of the money was intentionally hidden in shell companies and was used to hide damaging information about a candidate. Trump directed these illegal acts. It was an intentional conspiracy against the American people.

Not true, if it was they would have never accepted a plea before these "facts" entered a courtroom. Your understanding is greatly lacking.

Candidate can spend his personal money any way he wants. Trumps been paying non disclosures his whole life . More crap that won't stick. I do think it's possible that this politically motivated NY DA may try to file some type of charge for political reasons

Nope. The payments were made to influence the election. They were campaign contributions that need to be disclosed. Trump knew this which is why he hid them in shell companies.
