Trump breaking unions

Trump is currently meeting with all Governors in a Workforce Freedom initiative. It’s main goal is to end unions in the US. Trump may be right, unions have passed their time. They collect money, and do nothing. There is a lot of decertification talk going around at UPS, it’s nice to know the President thinks the same.

If correct, what exactly can the Governors accomplish to end unions? Sounds like someone just Jumpin Jack Flashed to a wrong conclusion.

Many people that complained about the last contract also voted for trump and republicans. Good luck with your wage and benefits without a union.
Wrong the issue is put on the ballot and people vote on it, If it loses it loses, it dont it dont.

One side only wants you voting on what they want and when the other side wins they get angry. If people vote yes on right to work, then they do

I get and agree with the frustration that UPSers have with the Union. But it’d be wildly ignorant of them to think they’d be better off decertifying. There’s no way the Company would compensate at the level they currently do if it were completely up to them.

I think you meant public or private unions. And it will never happen. Unions are to valuable to workers rights. Although paying 1100 a year and get seniority violated and screwed over maybe it's time they earn our dues money. Contract voted down but not by enough members but it still should of be renegotiated anyway to sweeten the pot.

If unions are so valuable to workers rights, why are unions a dying breed. There aren’t as many unions as there was 10 years ago, 30 years ago and 50 years ago. Unions use to be useful. But it’s become a bunch of fat cats sitting around doing nothing but taking members cash. UPS will be without a union in your life time.

if you want to see what UPS would look like without the IBT? Just take a look at Ground. Wages that are about half what a UPS driver gets no OT pay and in most cases zero benefits......Can you say fast food wages?

UPS already pays many of its employees fast food wages. Teamsters had no problems making sure people would make very little money at UPS. The Union is a joke.

The company has to give out extra-contractual bonuses just to keep people walking in through the door.
