no its 1 employee 1 vote, not 1 share 1 vote. not capitalism, its more democratic. How they run their business is up to them. It's still an engagement of ideas in the marketplace, with a potential for profits if successful. It's capitalism. And it's a good thing.

markets dont define capitalism. cooperatives are a great option if you believe in democracy and are skeptical of power. UPS didnt cross your threshold of abuse? i found it pretty bad.Oh. That must mean that markets are automatically bad then. My mistake.
It is a business which depends on consumer demand in order to survive. How it is operated is of little consequence. For people who hate being employees, I suppose it would be a great option. For others who don't mind, such as myself, it's irrelevant.
It's still an engagement in capitalism.

ive never done a job where i havent gotten ripped off or been abused. railway conductor, fuel truck driver, most recent unionized job, ups, restaraunt. i did boat rentals one time that was pretty good but im assuming he ripped me off. railway conductor and fuel driver especially made a mockery of safety. With the exception of a few PT supervisors, I haven't had too many issues.
You can't take it personally. Go to work collect your paycheck and go home.ive never done a job where i havent gotten ripped off or been abused. railway conductor, fuel truck driver, most recent unionized job, ups, restaraunt. i did boat rentals one time that was pretty good but im assuming he ripped me off. railway conductor and fuel driver especially made a mockery of safety.

not what i heard.Worker cooperatives are indeed capitalism in action. They're privately owned by their members. And they're closer to capitalism than to socialism because in a pure socialist world everything would be controlled by the government. They're a simpler form of a stock company.
Democratic methods and capitalism are not mutually exclusive.
i dont see how people cant. you spend 40+ hours a week there. its your life. you can only sortve avoid it if youre not under supervision, but even then it still s with youYou can't take it personally. Go to work collect your paycheck and go home.
Work a little harder save some extra money and retire earlier

the problem is power corrupts and this system like other failed systems gives too much of it to 2 few people. thats why we have a democracy to spread the power. its about self determination. our economic system is teh equivalent of choosing your own dictator. even if you unionize its not good enough.Be a good worker and stand up for yourself. Make yourself the kind of employee that they wouldn't want to lose, but also put them on notice that they're not gonna be able to rip you off.
thats your problem.I don't have anybody telling me worker cooperatives are capitalism in action. They just are.
thats your problem.
the guys who control the factories also control what we think. So you're into "alternative facts." Typical communist.
