I think that a little ridiculous.. same requirements, license. Except a freight driver has to have tanker endorsement and haz-mat.
Which makes them more qualified.

Don't believe everything you're hearing. We've had 1 road driver move over to Small Pack out of our terminal and have another one going over in May... both feeder drivers.

The down side to moving over is you lose everything and start over just like a new employee because you are. Freight and Pack are 2 different companies

That's great that they went over to small pack, but that is not a transfer, that is a new hire. They loose all there company seniority for pay and vacation. If they didn't have enough years in the Freight pension they loose that also. I hope they have a wonderful career there.
