I got written up for missing the day after thanksgiving. But i got holiday pay. Can i grievance against the write up?

Yea got paid for Thursday and Friday night. But they clearly had said that friday is optional but they still gave me a write up?

Well they said it was optional to work black Friday night. And i was the only one who got writren up. Im sure other workers missed but didnt get written up.

If I got paid, I could not care less if I got written up. I'd be more concerned about losing the grievance and them docking the pay as a result. I'd rather keep my powder dry for something more consequential.

Did you get a warming letter. if not its nothing to worry about. its a holiday that was negotiated contractually . it wont stick. protest it.
