UPS Installs Beacons On Package Cars To Improve Loading Accuracy

Diads have Bluetooth also. Just like the preload scanners. They can also enable them to alert you when you are within so many inches from a package. It all just comes down to the programming
Only if the package is somehow broadcasting a Bluetooth signal. Printed labels don't do that. RFID labels are (still) too expensive.

Just wait for smart scan to stop working. Hundreds of packages scanned in batch mode... the new preloaders will be too dependent on a scanner telling them they are wrong.

The packages will still have PAL labels, it's nowhere near as bad as going from alpha charts to PAS.

We upgraded the wireless in every building first. Of all the issues I've heard, scanners in batch isn't one of them.
