Using the "not ready" option for jerks?

Reminds me of trying to deliver at an assembly plant or parts distribution center of a major American auto company. Once you actually get through security, find the correct location to deliver to, you have about a 1% chance the 1 guy allowed to sign is in the building.
Yeah I mean that's a different story. I'm not going to walk into a massive company and if the first person I see is the CEO, I'm not going to ask him to sign or it's refused. I wouldn't walk into Ford and Detroit and demand the head of that location sign or it's refused. My refusal every single time post was more for a small company. Doctor office, car repair shop.

I use the no money option.

In my center the no money option doesn't work on the DIAD. Don't ask me why. Just another annoyance. So we have to use not ready when no check is ready. What really sucks is that if it's between 12-1 you can't complete the business stop when they don't have a check because you can't sheet not ready between 12-1. Happened to me today. Had to drive all the way back later to be GPS compliant even though they said no check until Monday. Pretty sure you could use no money between 12-1.

I could be wrong but I don't think you can use no money either between 12-1. You can't non del any business between 12-1. I had a moved last week and didn't sheet it. Had to go back after lunch to be gps compliant. It's their world, I'm just living in it ringing the cash register.

They let us use no money. At first though our center manager was retarded and told us to use NR for some reason though but then the 12-1 issue came up and suddenly no money was fine. Just another problem that UPS causes for itself.

I have the "pleasure" of delivering NDA to Walgreens. I will go around back, push the buzzer, wait for no more than 2 minutes and then drive out front and deliver through the front door. I go around back per their request and to satisfy Telematics but still have NDA that needs to be delivered.
Satisfy your overlord..."telematics"...and its bitch "Orion"....

What gets me are these big retail stores like k-mart, target, shopko, etc. that never have anyone in receiving. How is that possible! I used to call the store and have them send someone back, but now I do what you do and wait maybe 2 minutes and just leave.
They run on a shoestring....they also run software to totally utilize the employees hours... like anything else do more with less..

You can use NM at any time during the day, including 12-1 and after 5. NM shows that you made a valid attempt and the consignee did not have payment ready.

You are incorrect----you can use NM and Moved at any time during the day. You cannot use CLO or NI before 9, between 12-1 and after 5.

On our boards, you can't select no money at all. Just gives back a negative tone. There's no conceivable reason why they would take this option out but it is.

That's weird. My first year as a driver I was sent to a different center in the district for a day because they were short staffed. Their boards had no release mailbox option. Obviously I never put anything inside the mailbox. If they have a dog I'll tie it to the outside in a rain bag. It's strange how things can be so different center to center in even the same district.

I can understand union related things like pension differing, but company things are a head scratcher.

Release mailbox? Not here! Under no circumstance can you release at a mailbox.

I've never seen release mailbox as an option.

Again, it's not meant to put things inside the mailbox. We don't do that. It's meant to tie something to a mailbox in a rain bag, or place it on the ground next to the mailbox. Only used when there is a loose dog

I DR at the mailbox a lot...it's not an option in the board but I'm not walking through an 8 foot tall gate that I can't see through and getting bit by a dog.
