Vaccine distribution

You want a toe? I can get you a toe.
What about the different strains of Covid that have been reported?
If you had one strain does it prevent you from getting a different one, just like the regular flu?
They don’t know yet but as long as it’s the same general spike protein you’ll have some immunity.

The vaccine doesn’t have all of the different strains so it’s no different than catching the virus immunity wise.

I understand your logic about trying to vaccinate the hot spots but you know with all the corruption in government it's not going to happen.

The conspiracy side of me thinks that the government would love to see a modern day version of Logan's run

I'm in favor of doing healthcare workers first, then nursing homes.
After that it should be Essential workers. Anyone who's worked thru this whole thing.
People who cowered at home can wait till last (with California).

Wife and I had this discussion the other night. She’s in the healthcare field and got her vaccine a few days ago.

We both agree that the elderly should have been first in line not healthcare workers. As I thought more about it though why are we going through groups of people and not doing a regional distribution?

We could do much more to slow the spread of this if we were concentrating these early doses in regional hotspots.
Old people lived their lives. It’s time for us young people to be protected. If we have to wait for all the old people to be treated we will all be dead.*

Massachusetts guideline from the governor state that prisoners and healthcare workers get it first.
Nursing homes are third on the list.
