Would like to hear views or opinions on what you feel is in-store for the up coming contract.
Similar raises to the last two contracts, a push to make us pay some on health care ( which should not happen and will lead to strike). Doing away with language for time and half and double pay for Black Friday. Stronger language on 9.5 violations

The NMA was ratified by majority vote.

Several supplements were imposed as it quickly became obvious that the members were being unrealistic in their demands regarding healthcare.

In some areas, especially Louisville, there were other issues. What the IBT did was unfair, and in my opinion a violation of the IBT Constitution. The contract should never have been imposed.

Heard a manager say something like do away with P/T benefits for big pay raise. He was definitely shopping it with the guys. He then told the OMS to throw it out there for everyone. They always go fishing before a Contract.

Funny to me that people can't understand that there are different groups negotiating the Contract. The Supplement and Riders are negotiated by the Locals involved. They are marked clearly on the front of each Contract book. The National Agreement is negotiated by a team from the IBT and the leaders from each supplement group. That's why you vote 2 or 3 times. The IBT could have done things right and the Local might be slack. FZ was on his own supplement and rider team but also on the natioanal. Same with TS. They failed to negotiate and tried to bring everyone else done. You vote on the merits of each.
