Way To Go Ohiiiio

DELACROIX

In the Spirit of Honore' Daumier
As a person of color you should be proud of the fact that Rep. Omar won her district seat with 77% of the vote even if you don't agree with everything she says.

But, in the end you'll commit the same blatant hypocrisy that millions of so called "conservatives" have done at that is go signup for Social Security. Medicare, Medicaid when you're in a nursing home and your money is all gone along with any other beneficial social program we "Marxists" had to fight the "conservatives" tooth and nail just to get passed into law that you can qualify for.

Now if you don't BELIEVE in those "Marxist" inspired programs you don't HAVE TO enroll in them. You can in fact decline them.

But you're not fooling anybody. You'll apply for them and gladly accept them.........especially if it's all you've got.

Signing up for Social Security, Medicare then Medicaid and maybe losing everything you have worked for is strictly the fault of "conservatives"? Study the history of those governmental plans and who actually benefits from them, at very large percentage of them right now would be divided between the Biden and Trump supporters. I would be fair to say that you are currently enjoying them right now and besides that we and our employers been paying into those programs for decades through our weekly payroll taxes.

Your quote about those so-called Marxist inspired programs is false, they are in fact "Christian based", your bias or prejudice exposes you to the same hypocrisy that you blame others of. The fact that everybody will eventually loose everything they work for and aquired is a fact and inescapable..You are born, work to raise a family and obtain wealth then it is lost or given to your heirs when you pass on...Argue with that or "continue to chase the wind"...

Your last quote "especially if it's all you got" comes off as arrogant and elitist...Just saying...

You can look all you want. but, every time there is a glaring example of unlawful activity on the part of a GOP official instead of stepping up taking responsibility and dealing with it and get people like Housholder out of your party and if necessary in jail you always look at examples of bad behavior on the part of members of the other party and use that as an excuse to do nothing.

Then again not taking responsibility instead blaming everything on someone else is becoming quite common in the GOP and is especially true with it's top elected official .

so you're saying we should not look at Omar's clear immigation fraud because she is not republican. I thought so

You Republicans don't need them. You've got Bill Barr. A Trump appointee who never has and never will acquire the courage needed to challenge Donald Trump . Fortunately he doesn't scare Mary Trump or SDNY.

Bill Barr does not need to challenge the rightous. Donald Trump was spied on by the corrupt Obama adminstration . He has been proven to be clean despite numerous politically motivated witch hunts.

For some reason not only do the dems not investigate Omar's immigration corruption but they do not investigate the Obama corruption.
but you'll start a thread about some ohians that no one outside of Ohio has ever heard of.

"Christian based"? Hahahaha! If it's Christian based then why are so many "Christians" republicans? Franklin Graham will use every opportunity to use public airwaves to demonize Democrats but at the same time he freely accepts every dollar of donations he can get from anyone including those whose incomes are to a considerable degree if not entirely attributable to Social Security which in turn has made him a millionaire.

Bob Dole started out in the where he tried to filibuster the in an attempt to get the Medicare back into committee where he believed that he had the votes to kill it. Now in their late 90's I wonder who's taking care of old Bob and Liz now?

During his non apology apology Congressman Yoho let it slip out that for a number of years he and his wife lived on food stamps. A government program that kept them from starving to death. Yet every time an appropriations providing money for food stamps comes on the floor for a vote....he votes against.

The New Deal and The Great Society were not "Christian based" . If so the benefits could quite possibly have been designed for and limited to "Christians" Instead it was a political movement not a religious crusade. Oh yeah, we hear the same old response from "conservatives". "I paid into it. I paid into it". Yes they did but somebody had to first overcome bitter "conservative" opposition in to get it passed into law.

Oh yeah, "conservatives' including "Christians" will go on bashing and condemning the left appeasing their self righteousness but every time the left can get passed into law a piece of legislation that can create a better quality of life for "conservatives" and "Christians" they have and will continue to be there fighting for every nickel they can get.

If you don't do anything you'll always be clean. But come November the American voters will decide how clean Donald Trump is. If he loses and no longer president he'll be fair game for law enforcement just as Barrack Obama has been fair game for the past 4 years.

Her district is overwhelmingly Democrat with a large Somali-American population. As far as fighting conservatives tooth and nail, Democrats controlled Congress for 40 years.
I seriously doubt that the large Somali-American population was entirely responsible for her receiving 77% of the vote. And when it comes to your gripe about Democrats controlling Congress for 40 years? Chances are it was during that time Medicare was passed and you'll of course will be all too happy and relieved to go sign up for it. Oh and did I mention that Republicans controlled Congress for 22 of the past 28 years?

All those programs you mentioned didn't occur in the past 28 years. I didn't complain, just pointed out it's unlikely the Dems fought "tooth and nail" to get those programs passed when they controlled everything. As for Omar she ran in a district that hasn't had a Republican representative since 1962. And the large Somali population there was a big component in her constituency. Besides the questions about her brother there's the matter of her affair that led to her divorce and marrying her campaign consultant. She has paid his company hundreds of thousands of dollars since they married. It's not the Republicans she has to worry about, it's the Democrats. Including her there are 5 candidates in the August primary and one in particular has been put up by the Democrat party and millions have been flowing into his coffers, far outpacing her. He's a moderate. Her attacks on Israel have greatly offended the Jewish community in Minneapolis and elsewhere and they're pushing for change. That other member of "The Squad" from Detroit, Tlaib, is also in trouble. Incumbents rarely lose except in their first reelection. If a politician is very outspoken in their first term that often works against them. AOC appears to be in a district that is about bulletproof, but Omar isn't. And when looking at politics riots in the streets don't do well at the ballot box. Politics 101.

Donald trump is the only friend law enforcement has right now. Perhaps you meant he would be fair game to the crooks your side elected to offic.e .

you should go to minnesota sometime. State is all white and a few indians here and there . The somali population in that one small area is the only reason she won.

by the way thats a pretty naive comment to make considering the way your side has tried to manufacture charges against a guy who is proven to be innocent and the victim of a dishonest obama administration.

Those programs had to first withstand court challenges and it wasn't the Democrats who launched those challenges. Your beloved party challenged the ACA in SCOTUS and lost. Now just take a look at the uptick in the applications for insurance under the ACA. People lose their jobs and their insurance coverage right along with it but couldn't even begin to pickup the premiums their employers were paying so thankfully they had the ACA. You know ,that program the GOP vowed to "repeal and replace" Yeah, we saw the "repeal" but we never saw the "replace" in any form let alone the "better" they promised.

BTW only one word in your previous post actually mattered......"Americans". And as Americans the registered voters among them in that district will be given the right to express their preferences not as Somalians but rather as Americans.

The fact is, whether anyone agreed or disagreed we've paid. Your plan, one FDR set up, stand by your promises I have been taxed for. Clowns like you hold it over our heads because we disagree with your policies of giving to those that have no skin in the game.

Charities, which your side chooses to destroy, were set up for the express purposes of helping the indigent.

I paid you owe, I donate to individuals and charities, I don't need a government to decide my choices. It must live with what I was forced to contribute to however, pay up.

If only that were true. There are voting blocks everywhere and in Omar's case the Somali community came out in support for her. Just as 95% of black voters supported Obama. Identity politics matter, especially to Democrats.

Reagan once joked about how difficult it is to get rid of a government program once it's established. The ACA certainly serves some constituents well, but not everyone. And you still used smoke and mirrors with your suggestion that the Dems fought tooth and nail for all of these programs. When you have big enough majorities to pass whatever you want and a Democrat president to sign it, stuff gets done. Which programs were Republicans able to successfully block in court? Which ones were drawn out for years and years in court?

To me she's kinda cute, deadly but cute. Be fun to take her and AOC down the pokey highway, muzzled that is.
I think AOC is attractive but a very conservative friend refuses to admit that. Her politics makes her hideous to him. I like to listen to Omar talk. Especially the word who. Every time she says it she draws it out a bit.

Ilhan Omar’s Hometown Paper Endorses Her Primary Opponent

"The Star Tribune, Minnesota's largest newspaper, endorsed Rep. Ilhan Omar’s (D., Minn.) primary opponent, citing the challenger’s "integrity and progress" as the primary reason to vote the incumbent out of office.

Omar’s hometown paper said in a Wednesday editorial that Democratic primary challenger Antone Melton-Meaux would be better suited to represent the district in Congress. Omar, the paper argued, is overly focused on picking fights with Republicans and pushing fringe causes.

Omar’s anti-Semitic rhetoric and penchant for backing far-left causes has isolated her in Congress and undermined her ability to represent her district. Omar has repeatedly picked fights with Israel and its Jewish-American supporters. Democratic leaders in Congress have distanced themselves from Omar's anti-Semitic rhetoric, and her alliance with fellow "Squad" members, Reps. Rashida Tlaib (D., Mich.) and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D., N.Y.), has been met with antipathy by many in her party. Melton-Meaux, on the other hand, seeks to forge alliances, the Star Tribune said.

"While Omar wants to lead a movement, Melton-Meaux seeks to serve the Fifth District," the paper wrote. "There are many ways to fight for change, few of them easy when tackling entrenched systems and interests. Omar says she will ‘fight hard for big ideas.’ But the point of the fight, after all, is the change. And that often requires the ability to forge alliances and persuade."
