Lol. There's no language now...

There is no language. Another giveback from the strongest labor union in the world. You know that I am right...
Actually you're wrong. I would explain why but You are so angry about the wonderful life that the teamsters have helped you get that it's not worth it. So just keep believing that they allowed PVDs And have done nothing to stop them.

Teamsters bad! boo!

There is a whole mountain of people who can point out the mistakes and problems the union has made. Very rarely are those same people able to tell us how to fix them. And even more than that most of the time they are actually part of the problem.

A hundred years ago when I was a driver before driver release and diads, there was paper. Drive up a holler for an hour and nobody home, I ain’t coming back tomorrow. I used to sign Pete Rose, Johnny Bench, Clint Eastwood, whatever came to my mind. When DR (Dead Run)came along, they figured out we had been doing it all along.

Anytime someone gives you instructions that violate integrity ignore them. Tell him to fire you and take it to a hearing.

I’ve had management people ask me to do this dishonest things with sheeting packages, I told him I’m not doing it they say I’m instructed, I say it will be fun watching you twist and hearing explaining why you asked me to do something dishonest. They leave me alone after that lol
My favorite trick when I was threatened to do something unsafe or which violated integrity was to Email the CEO and President of operations with documentation ( usually pics of DIAD messages) ,dates, supervisors name and get to work the following day ALL excited because i KNEW Security would descend unannounced and interview me and the supes involved.

I know for certain i was responsible for two of the pricks t be forced to resign and one guy was transferred.
That was my absolute FAVORITE trick

We had the “No more signing for packages as Covid or CVD” pcm a few weeks ago. Drivers doing all they can to make a full time job a part time one and they b!tch about PVDs, not getting their 8 and :censored2:ty routes.

I never forged a signature I didn’t make customer contact with outside of covid. Don’t know why people think it’s still ok to do it. Been getting signatures for over a year now.
The way I read your post made it seem like you would forge a signature IF you did in fact make customer contact.

One thing to start, stop paying BAs. Pay them exactly what shop stewards get paid. Then and only then, will we have people for us. BA wants to get paid? You get paid on commission now get to work.

Don't gamble by being a runner-gunner! If innocent, they will get ye olde job back.
At "Ye Olde Porne Shoppe". Mah fravrit place.

Edit: Also some useful information. If they instruct you to do something unsafe or unethical, tell them to take that instruction and shove it up their ass. And not just shove it up their ass, shove it all the way up their ass shoulder-deep and twist it back and forth a little to really make sure it's in there.

Shop Stewards get paid???

You sound like a “what about me?” type of guy. And a little stupid too.

Go ahead and explain. And I definitely appreciate the life that I have. But the Teamsters have gone downhill. Sorry that you are offended. Just give me the article that covers PVD's please. I can't find it.

Me too, are you willing to strike for it?
Yes sir. Sorry that I am cynical about the state of affairs with this union. I guess I'm supposed to cheer them on and say only great things. Of course- you are also supposed to run against them if you don't like what's going on. Never supposed to try to hold them accountable. Oh well- I think I'll be ok if a few people I've never met don't like what I say.

Deranged lunatic
security guard the other day scribbled the company name, typed in "security" and stop completed before handing me back the board.

And this is just on top of the countless signatures that are either just bored customers drawing :) faces on the board and other useless, incomprehensible scribbles.

Once again the company operating integrity for me but not for thee.

If I was one of 5 drivers falsely accused of forging signatures, the kid 100 miles out would never hear the end of it until they quit. Because they certainly never deserved my time.

I had a couple of stops when I met the customer ( business) they ask me to sign their name , they were busy , dentist , no receptionist , bridal shop bunch of customers, stuff like that ,,, I'd print their name , in remarks I'd put my initials and note consignee busy,, never got burnt and I'd only do it for select consignees

it sucks for the drivers, but they really should know better than do that. plenty of drivers in my center do it, I know our bosses know they do and are just looking the other way, but as soon as one goes south they'll throw the driver under the bus. I'm always totally up front about refusing to do it, even gotten chewed out over it a few times. and a bunch of drivers have looked askance at me for not doing it. many customers are even habituated to their regular driver doing it, to the point that they've chewed me out for not playing ball. I advise my coworkers every chance i get to stop doing it. My ultimatum to management is simple, if they want me to do it, I willing to if they put it in writing using the word "falsify", so far none of my bosses will agree to do that.
