I am looking to leave the job as a delivery driver but not sure if I should leave before I get into the union, or after I am already in. Benefits or detriments to either?

I work for teamsters, UPS contracted me
Join the union. If you leave ups you can get another teamsters union job. Maybe get a cdl and go for trucking. Work for DHL, or some other teamsters company. All teamster companies are better than most, non educated job types

Stay 4 years and make 80,000 plus, plus have health care, pension paid, pay vacation, paid holidays, sick days, option days...

It's only 11 or 12% unemployment rate right now Good luck to you

Deranged lunatic
The usual advice is to suck it up for 5 years to vest the pension and at least 1 year of top-rate pay (which will cover a full ride tuition for your next job's training)
