Who is Obama

I think the relatives have earned the right to do as they will and last time I looked they were not running for president.

His throwing of the flower showed a lack of understanding of his role in showing reverance to those fallen hero's. Either he did not feel anything for those hero's or he was ignorant of his responsilibities. Its one of those intangibles that gives you some insight into his ability to handle his duties correctly. Its another sign of many that he lack the experience and understanding to be president.

Ok, so we are not going to agree about the anti-Obama internet "flower tossing scandel" :flowers: , but it seems like an after-thought with the mainstream media. They must feel it's insignificant like I do....anyway....as far as intangibles to handle presidential duties how bout ole Johnny "suspending" his campaign (calling for a TV time out) to concentrate on the economic bailout and cancel friday nights debate. Not only do polls show that 90% say don't cancel the debate but it also shines light on McCain's multi-tasking skills and Barack has called him out on it. After all, a President must handle many crisis at once.

Deisel, where did you see the poll that 90% say don't cancel the debate?
Myself, I think McCain and Obama are Senators right now, the people are paying them to be Senators, and they should be in Washington doing their Senator duties cleaning up this mess.

That being said, I'd have to say you're a lil' naive to say it "shines light on McCain's multi-tasking skills". I'd say it shines light on what was a huge risk to a Presidential campaign. Continue campaigning as if nothings wrong like Obama, or do the right thing (your job) and return to Washington like McCain.

The latest Zogby poll shows McCain took the lead when he made his decision to suspend his campaign to go back to work.

McCain now leads Obama, 45.8% to 43.8%

Small lead, I know, but it shows the people liked the move McCain made!

Anything your candidate does is OK with you! Associations with Rev. Wright, Bill Ayers, Pledge of Allegiance Gaff, no lapel pin.

Mainstream media - there is no MAINSTREAM media ROFLMAO! Except maybe Fox - but because every other media outlet is to the left, they are pegged as being to the right HAH!

Also, when there is a national emergency and I along with millions of others categorize this that way. The President usually drops or cancels everything to tour or take care of the business of the emergency.

Nobama was caught with his pants down around his ankles again and reacted the only way he knew how. Lash out at the true leader and try to make him look bad. Down play the importance as usual.

Gee.... he ended up following McCain's lead to Washington - A true follower!

BTW... isn't Biden a Senator also??? Why isn't he on the Hill. Sarah isn't a legislature - so she doesn't have to be there. She is an executive of an economy that is very sound!

Obvisously, It was a ploy to get more attention, free advertising, save money for the last 40 days of the campaign and say "look at me I'm acting more presidential"....but it backfired as usual.

Nat'l emergency? We have two wars going on, Hurricane Ike relief efforts and now wall street debacle.......yes Lifer, it's called multi-tasking, or are you Mr "republican" :slap: forgetting about our troops in harms way?

If you leased your own jet like McCain and Obama, you can be pretty darn close. No excuses.

'Walking Eagle' Senator BARACK OBAMA was
invited to address a major gathering of the American Indian Nation two weeks

ago in upstate New York .HE spoke for almost an hour on HIS future plans

for increasing every Native American's present standard of living, should HE one day become the President. HE referred to his career as a Senator, how he

had signed 'YES' for every Indian issue that came to his desk for approval. Although the Senator was vague on the details of his plan, he seemed most enthusiastic about his future ideas for helping his 'red sisters and brothers'.

At the conclusion of his speech, the Tribes presented the Senator with a plaque inscribed with his new Indian name - Walking Eagle. The proud Senator then departed in his motorcade, waving to the crowds.

A news reporter later inquired to the group of chiefs of how they came to select the new name they had given to the Senator. They explained that "Walking Eagle" is the name given to a bird so full of shiiiit it can no longer fly.

I usually make my charitable donations in late Nov/Dec. If Obama is elected I will only be donating about 10% of my usual donation %. Will he develop a program to makeup for the downfall in charitable donations?

Thank you for the combat zone in Chicago . Of course they're all

blaming each other. Can't blame Republicans, there aren't any!

State pension fund $44 Billion in debt, worst in country. Cook

County (Chicago) sales tax 10.25% highest in country

Chicago school system one of the worst in country. This is the

political culture that Obama comes from in Illinois . He's gonna "fix"

you did rave about the cuban medical system. And you are in love with many of your anti american put down arguments emulated by dirt bag moore.

Your belief in pride in your country if applied to a sister would be:

I show my sister I love her by constantly putting her down.

Here's one thing that is substantiated, this nation has never been more polarized thx to the last eight years.

Again - Rose colored glasses! Substantiated? HA! Why because you hate Bush more than when he was elected! Don't make me laugh!

If BO gets in you will see polarization the likes you have not seen since the early 1960's. We will take a giant step backward and I will not make any bones about this. Mark my words every crazy racist will come out from under the rocks and cesspools. All races will pull back from this and put up a defense which will work against further assimilation.

We will retrograde as a society in a time we cannot afford to go backwards.

We will appear weak to the world and the factions who look for our demise will surface.

I am horribly confident I will be able to site this post as a testament to what happens in the next 2-3 years.

I only HOPE & Pray that I am wrong!

My uncle was the Republican candidate for Congress in Cook County on the '48 ticket with Dewey. My dad used to tell me about all the horror stories of the Democratic Machine under Mayor Daly who was the father of the current mayor.

In 1960, Nixon vs Kennedy - it came down to Chicago and there was a lot of strong arm tactics used. Many accusations of ballot box stuffing.

I am going to pull a Diesel on this... because I can't prove it - I do know someone who might be able to give me additional insight but not right now!

I have heard (but can't substantiate it)....

Obama was chosen for the state senate when he was a community organizer - He was "chosen" for his eloquence and likability. The Chicago Machine thought he could be the 1st black President. They used their power to get him elected to the national stage and again used the Daley Machine to make him the keynote speaker for the Dem convention in '04. This was done to bring him into national prominence.

He was given bills to sponsor to give him credibility.

He is a disaster waiting to happen. If you think we have problems now, wait till he gets in and polarizes this nation with his socialistic and left wing policies.

lifer i heard the same thing.

Geez, Is everything you post a copy and paste of someone else's misinformation?

So far this year there there have been about 1000 soldiers and police killed in Iraq. The civilian death toll from violence has been averaging about 28 deaths/day.

Care to source your numbers? Do a Google search for casualties in Irag, coalition and civilian to see where mine come from.

In the last six months in Iraq there have been 154 US casualties in Iraq. This also includes accidental and non combat deaths. That would not even average one a day. I did a simple google search like you suggested.

http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/ops/iraq_casualties.htm

In Chicago 62 people murdered in July alone. That looks like about two a day.

http://www.learnaboutguns.com/2008/08/09/chicago-murder-rate-up-18-despite-the-handgun-ban/

Oh, you are just counting US deaths? Here I thought that Iraqi deaths counted too, my bad.

Work on your reading comprehension. I stated accurate figures in my first post.

Ok that link you gave says there is less than a one per day average as well. It reports the same number per month as the site I gave you. Not sure what you are trying to say but it appears that you agree with the chain email.

It also appears that Chicago has almost three times the national average for the murder rate.
