why is my new laptop being held in Louisville?

A new Lenovo laptop was shipped from China on the 6th,and arrived in Louisville Ky on the 7th. No further movement or notations since.
Is this normal for an International to sit this long without any updates?

Just curious - why did you have to order it from China? If its from China it must be available at Walmart.

Couple of things. Was the paperwork correct? Maybe it was damaged. Maybe it was ticking. MAybe it had drug residue on the package. There are a lot of things that could keep it there.

Call them and ask.

They (Lenovo), had a 45% off special last week online. I was not aware it was being built custom until I received the tracking info.

Custom built electronics? IS that not what caused such a problem a few weeks ago with packages going to churches?

It's upstairs in someones office. They are looking at porn and playing World of Warcraft on it. Be sure to clean the keyboard when it gets to you.

The Import Scan was the key. It's finally on the move again. It "arrived" in Loui on the 7th, but didn't get the "import" scan until this afternoon. (must have been a very successful sale)

18 yrs with this company and I'm still learning. :)

When it comes from overseas, nothing moves until the paperwork is right. Now wait till you get the bill.......

The import scan basically means the CBP guys cleared it for delivery. Until then it would have been locked up with a bunch of other packages from overseas in the import cage.
