If you've gotten even one ounce of bull:censored2: from management by now, I'd seriously consider consulting with a worker's comp lawyer or contacting someone with the state just to learn more about how the process is supposed to work.

My management team did a great job when I was injured...but I have heard horror stories, on here and from co-workers.

Make sure they filed the injury reports. Ask them for copies of the W/C First Report of Occupational Injury and ask them for a copy of the OSHA 301 form. This type of injury is requirde to be reported to both. I'd also call your local union hall an ask them about recommendations for a lawyer.

the harassment usually does not start until you come back to work but you have good instincts to be paranoid.

document-document-document and do everything by the book. plus go to your union hall and speak to your BA to make sure they will protect your job. if your BA acts like he doesn't know what you are talking about , that is a sure sign they don't care.

getting hurt makes you a liability to this company. Also, while you are out do some homework like you already are and speak to a work comp lawyer. it's free and it wouldn't hurt .

keep us informed.

Do you work for a different company than the rest of us?
He has a permanent disability and doesn't need to recite the :censored2:ing DOK
And nothing has been done to him to suggest they are doing anything wrong. Everybody is treating the company like they are running away from the problem when nothing has even been done yet. They took him to the hospital and stayed with him just as they were supposed to. What are they supposed to cut him a check after they get back to the building?

Nobody has done anything wrong and everybody is acting like management threatened his life. Dear Lord.
Just want to make sure all the right steps are taken... i sat there in the hospital for 4 hours waiting before i got help. Thankful that i got help but my finger bone was clipped man no one should be injured like this and ive previously told my PT sup that i did not want to be driving and bringing in empty air cans by myself, its not safe and had some close calls

Safely first. Make safety a real priority, not a dog and pony show like it is

Like I said...they handled my case very well. Couldn't have gone any better as far as I'm concerned. We shouldn't get carried away and act like management can do no right.

But anybody that's been at UPS more than 5 minutes knows they can, and will mess something up. And worker's comp is one time when you don't want that to happen, and need all the protection or help you can get if it does.

Tomorrow I see company doctor. Monday i see the hand specialist. FULL Time student rn so ill be missing school, injury occured on my right hand and yes im right handed lol
