Whatever state you live in sets the guidelines for this. You can’t go on comp for 25 years then retire if that’s your plan.

No plan to stay on it any more then needed was just wondering with all my free time

Here they cut your benefits off after a year of lost time and stop paying you at two years. Also time out does not count towards your 156 reports for vacation time.
