You do have to feel a bit sorry for Mick Mulvaney

It’s never been complicated to me but then I keep my imagination under control.
I never try to imagine what people are thinking.

I will say that there are definite versions of ‘racism’ below and above the Mason-Dixon line.

Having lived above and below, I think conversations about racism between the North and South equate to pissing off a bridge.

The water is deep either way.

Everyone is sure they’re correct, and in their own way, they are.

Most people I’ve met, North or South, are good people.

It is what it is...some of the most racist people I’ve ever met were Northerners, but there’s plenty of racist Southerners too.

Everyone is the hero in their own story.

You mean, you agree there are good people on both sides?

People in houses and working at regular jobs?

Yes.

An :censored2: White Nationalist fk running down people with his car?

No.

Idiots chanting “You will not replace us!”...

No.

So, in answer to your query, not so much.

There are good people everywhere, but the :censored2:s marching in Charlottesville were wannabe White Nationalist fks.

Sorry if that wasn’t the answer you wanted.

The difference is that you assume everyone who showed up in Char!ottesville to protest removing statues is a white supremacist, and every counter protester is noble and pure. People who sport swastikas and scream racist remarks are idiots. I would like to see people on the Left say the same about Antifa members who use violence as a means to an end. Until they are thoroughly denounced by the Left your arguments are disingenuous.

You see, there is a fundamental problem with what you are saying.

You are saying that Nat Turner was wrong to lead a violent slave rebellion.

You are saying that the civil rights movement was ok for MLK’s brand but not for Malcolm X.

That civil disobedience is ok but violence against oppression is not.

friend that.

Is violence ever justified?

Have white supremacy groups been historically violent?

Go ahead. Be honest. We know it’ll be painful for you but that’s just the healing.
Who has been more violent historically, white supremacists or Communists and Socialists that Antifa loves?

Go ahead. Be honest. We know it’ll be painful for you but that’s just the healing.
