Instructing me to follow ORION 100%... is a valid directive.

Instructing me to disregard ORION and use common sense and area knowledge to reduce miles and make service on all stops...is also a valid directive.

Instructing me to be intentionally stupid a minimum of 85% of the time while simultaneously requiring me to act intelligently (but only up to a maximum of 15%) in order to save the route from the resulting failure...is not a valid directive.

Instructing me to disregard ORION while at the same time refusing to make the two mouse clicks that are necessary to prevent my manifest from being intentionally scrambled and set up to fail...is also not a valid directive.

Intentionally going out of their way to scramble the manifest, refusing to provide the information that I need and request in order to do my job, and then attempting to discipline me for failing after intentionally setting me up to fail is called “harrassment and over-supervision” and it is specifically prohibited under Article 37.
They cant have it both ways.
They cant tell me to be deliberately stupid and then try to fire me for being deliberately stupid.

This has nothing to do with my opinion and everything to do with our contractual protections against over supervision and harrassment.

His obsession may not be healthy but it's valid. He's been fed a horrible tool and he doesn't want to use it. He has found a tool that works well for him and allows him to service his customers and make all the required service commitments. There is also no way for him to adjust said defective tool, so it's not "he's using it wrong", it's "It's broken".

Let him use the tool that works for him and fix the shiny tool.

There are drivers in my building who go to the tavern every night after work and pound down pitchers of beer while bitching and complaining about their jobs. Thats not for me.
I think BC is the healthier option for releasing my frustrations.

Well word is that in Florida both Jacksonville and Orlando hubs are already backing up and sinking fast...UPS sending all unwanted, useless blacklisted sups to try to bail out those sinking ships....good luck!
