Welcome to Current Events.
I was born in 1954 and a lover of history ... especially the trends and currents of history.
I am aware of the Arian/Brownshirts/Nazis tendencies in the USA and the world.
I was more concerned with the modern day Brownshirts in the USA sweeping an Obama like figure into a despotic leader than I am of Trump. Trumps supporters are not blind followers like the Socialist movement in the USA and do not have the vigor to sweep edmocracy aside for a charismatic leader like Obama or someone in the new batch of Socialist politicians.
Consider AOC ... she is dogmatic and so sure her world view is the righteous path.
She scares me a whole lot more than Trump ... I think Pelosi understands this but can she be the bastion of American democracy or does an AOC-like Socialist leader supercede the 'broken and outdated' Constitutional type of government that she despises so much?
Words of Ronald Reagan. A guy who got out of WWII military service because of his eyesight supposedly was too poor but never had any trouble reading the lines his movie scripts or the political speeches written for him .

And of course we would have never let Pearl Harbor, The Holocaust The Blitz, Nazism or Hitler's decision to declare war on the US to happen I suppose. Perhaps we might have been able to do more than we did but at the time we were a bit tied up with the task of bringing the nation out of another Republican recession which in this case was the worst one in American history.

He was almost 31 when Pearl Harbor happened. Plenty of 30 something's got deferred because of their age and family responsibilities. The totality of his life is what matters, and he did great things for America.
