The sad thing is the people that scream the loudest for tolerance are the most intolerant people of all. You are entitled to your opinion as long as it falls into politically correct parameters. I respect your choice, I'm alright with that. The problem comes when government wants to stick their nose into it.
We have one party in this country that preaches smaller and less government. They seem to forget this when it comes to a womans right to choose, gay marriage, etc.

Right is right and wrong is wrong, why should there have to be a tolerance level? The governments leading everyone to the way they want it to be, if your gay it's tolerated, if your agianst gays it's untolerated. Pretty sure people were straight before there were ever gays. Sorry not sorry.

When I was young we'd order small live stock from a catalog. There was a disclaimer that 10% of the male studs would not perform. It was always joked about that they were "the gay." But in reality I don't think it was a joke.
Gay has been around as long as straight. Where there is a yin there is always a yang.

Now you're just being factually incorrect.
Being gay was not accepted for a very long period of time, which most of society is either past or doesn't care enough to get upset about, but it's not a "man made mindset".
It's as much of a man made mindset as being black or asian.
A man made mindset would be choosing to like the same sex, I'm not gay myself but I don't know anyone who is that CHOSE to be gay (nor do I know any of them that would choose to change it, they're happy).
You didn't choose to like women, you just like them. You were born liking them. It is the exact same concept but reversed, just because one is far more common than the other does not make it impossible. People are born with rare conditions (not calling gay a condition, just using it as an example) that are statistically improbable. Autism, missing an organ, extra body part, hearing impaired, vision impaired, ultra sensitive to certain sensations, etc.
Being gay is tolerated because being gay makes you a person who is living their life. They "creep you out" you admitted, they don't hurt you, they have 0 affect on your life at all by living theirs. Things obviously change if they go out of their way to intentionally bother you, touching, harassing, etc. but for conversation purposes I'm just talking about them being gay, not being a-holes that happen to be gay (They are just as common as straight people that are a-holes).
Bashing gays is not tolerated because you're being disrespectful to another person (who is probably very happy) for something they didn't choose to be.
Being homophobic hurts nobody as long as you don't go out of your way telling everyone how wrong they are. A man and a man or a woman and a woman in public have every right that a man and women have in public.
I bet you never shy away from watching girl on girl porn calling them "fags" do you?

Wrong. Wasn't around? Read up on Ancient Greece....in ancient Athens, homosexuality and bisexuality among men was widely accepted.
