We took him out because he was a bad guy, in charge of a country, and he had a grudge against the USA.
Do you think Saddam would forgive and forget? Hell no.
Do I agree with using our military might to take down bad guy dictators? Hell yes.
What do you think they people in the military train so hard for? And don't even think about listing the numbers of men and women wounded or killed in war. I served. We knew what we were signing up for. No one was drafted against their will to go.

Taking out a leader of another country because "we" dont like the things they do is silly, considering "WE" created them in the first place.

Saddam Hussein was our friend when they were at war with IRAN. We gave them arms, money and CHEMICAL WEAPONS.

Those same chemical weapons REAGAN authorized for Saddam Hussein killed thousands of Iranian troops and later, killed a little over 7000 Kurdish civilians.

Donald Rumsfeld and Dick Cheney assisted Saddam in securing these chemical weapons while "We" sat back and watched it all.

The killing of the kurds happened under Reagans watch and "HE" did nothing about it. Why would he? He was responsible for it.

If you think "we" spend billions as a nation to build, recruit, train and supply our military just to take out a leader because "we" dont like him, then you dont understand what our militarys role is.

WE DONT NATION BUILD. That isnt what we are suppose to do.

How did Iraq work out for us? Shock and Awe, freedom isnt free, blue thumbs and all the other nonsense that was given to us as propaganda and yet IRAQ is worse off than when we invaded.

We left that country in a giant mess. We left over 250 thousand civilians killed. We destroyed cities, streets, buildings and neighborhoods.

And for what?

Because we didnt like the leader?

2 trillion american dollars spent and the US Economy destroyed.

Somehow, on the scales on common sense, looking back, was it worth it when you add the over 8000 US Service peoples lives who also died for this ridiculous war?

They died for nothing.
