Fox News Investigates UPS storing Packages in Garage

I’m full of it
3 years ago they just parked PODS in residential streets and rolled excess stops overnight to them. Local news figured it out. Really bad press. "Your Christmas package you are waiting for might be stored in there for days", which was true.
It's amazing too me people are asking about packages that are suppose to be delivered and I just don't have them

It was one U Haul dropping off in the morning and two package cars picking up in the evening. How many times do we meet another driver or two and transfer stops on a residential side street?

true

Anyone outside ups or fedex, including news sites, are completely clueless and ignorant as to what peak season entails, and the absolute avalanche of volume we have to sift through on a daily basis.

It's frustrating that the media pokes around and complains when we are here just trying to get your damn packages delivered to you for Christmas.

If people can't tell by the return label who their package is supposed to ride with, I don't trust them to be following tracking info accurately. So it's just a quick:

Customer: "You sure I don't have anything else?"

Me: "Nope, maybe tomorrow!"

Truck: VROOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMM

UPS is supposed to go through the proper channels to do business this way. They could have done it the right way, but this is UPS.

I think you guys are missing the broader point. UPS is making BILLIONS. Why work the drivers this hard? Why not put enough drivers and trucks on the road to handle the volume in 9 to 10 hours each?

My thoughts are people are :censored2: reknobs. Stories like this amaze me but rarely surprise me. It really amazes me that people can figure out how to get online to buy owl vomit, bonsai kittens, and find Brazillian fart porn but they are completely surprised that UPS drives rental trucks during the holidays.

It's like Deliverance with banjo music playing....Your truck break down or something?

Sounds like that center needs to take its biggest POS package car(leaking oil, loud smokey exhaust, an engine that sounds like the pistons are gonna blow through the hood)and park it in that neighborhood and do the same thing, just store it in the package car, and allow the drivers to idle it while they are there and let them take their breaks there too.

These news reporters didnt hesistate to throw us under the bus a few years ago when Amazon (who was mostly at fault) screwed us. Now they are witnessing first hand what we are doing to avoid that and they are covering it like its a corruption piece.
