Rats, wish I had known this last summer. I could have picked your brain. We re-roofed last summer. Pulled our hair out trying to do it. I had to have the architectural ones. LOL

I helped a friend re roof a Painted Lady. From the ground it didn't look too bad. Once I got up top I discovered that it seemed a hell of a lot higher and the pitch was a hell of a lot steeper! I think we were 35 - 40 feet up. After I got used to it, I loved it. He got another job from the neighbor - another Painted Lady. This one had a tower that had to be 60 feet up! I was't able to help him on that one. I also knew another guy who was a slater. He was always busy. He used to always bring his Border Collie on the job with him until one day the dog figured out how to climb a ladder. He was on the roof when the dog joined him. He said he had a hell of a time carrying the dog down the ladder. After that, the dog stayed home.
