@oldngray, it is relevant because we have been printing money, the money supply is higher, and the dollar is stronger, yet there is no inflation. Maybe Team Obama is doing something right, in spite of the naysayers.

Printing money does not increase the money supply. Dollar is stronger because of other countries (especially Europe) having weaker economies. Of course Obama wants to remake the US in that liberal socialist image but you can thank the Republicans for blocking his attempts to do so.

That I can't say for sure. I have only been able to procure a small portion of the $85 billion/month that is reported.

Printing money is just an analogy, it's a virtual printing press.
They "print" money by lowering interest rates and buying bonds, which theoretically injects money into the economy because banks have more to lend. They think they can reverse this by raising interest rates, and forcing banks to buy bonds when they want less liquidity. Of course it's way more complicated than that and mostly over our heads. Bottom line is our money is based on nothing and a select few tinker with it.
The chairman of the federal reserve is arguably one of the most powerful people in the world.

Poverty won't be fixed until we can get a majority of people to admit and speak the truth.

The truth is family units with a mother and a father in the household working together for the benefit of the family is the besti scenario to raise children in.

As long as people are too busy blaming others for their problems of their own making, nothing will change.

But don't you find it interesting that the poorest of our nation's poor vote for the party that promises the most handouts?

Of course the problem is, each time you send a check to them, it's typically another week they don't try to earn their way to independence. Democrats perpetuate poverty on purpose in many cases, others think they are actually helping and are just ignorant of the consequences. They need the poor like All Sharpton needs bad race relations. This is the true agenda behind their desire to legalize illegals too. Undocumented Democrats, a potential permanent underclass in need of government. You really think they care about all of these millions of people because of compassion? Think again.

That's why I call the Democrats POVERTY PIMPS.

Because they thrive on getting votes from poor people by blaming their lot in life on rich whites or evil corporations and by promising to continue those government checks will keep coming.

They'll keep generations in poverty for political gain.

Legalize weed, tax it, give the money to public schools. Might not be your cup of tea but I like it.
