Healthcare

He who laughs last...they may have pushed back the employer mandate a year but all the associated taxes are kicking in next year. Scoff all you want, if Dems are going to retool and rework they will be very busy, especially with the elections coming up.

I know, I know. All part of the march toward Marxism/Communism/Nazism and Islam. God, I hope someone saves those poor insurance companies from Adolf Karl Vladimir Mohammed Obama.

Are tri-fold, tinfoil hats allowed in the country where you are going to retire? How will you get reception of your crazy FOX News ideas?

By the way, you can get Canada's Shaw Direct satellite tv with ALL of the American channels in Mexico. Broadband Internet, American movies in English at modern multiplexes, and several very nice cities with so many Americans and others, I means thousands, where one can get by without Spanish if one chose to. How does $350 a month for a modern, nicely furnished apartment or casita with all utilities, cable tv and wi-fi sound? A weeks worth of fresh fruit and veggies for $10? Great scenery and a mild climate year'round?

Mexico has Socialist healthcare. Better not go there.

You really don't get out much, huh? Mexico has a national healthcare plan that people can very affordably buy into, including foreigners. And they also have private hospitals that cost more with a higher quality of care, but still very affordable. It's about choice, and it's the kind of system the Democrats should have emulated instead of forcing citizens into their plan. Good luck!

I've lived in the Midwest. Lovely winters. Great architecture. Incredibly walkable. Can't beat the food!

P.S. Oops, was describing Mexico!
oh, just say it. You want to go somewhere where you can exploit the working class the way you feel you've been exploited.

No, it's just normal life down there. While Mexico doesn't have a big enough economy to employ all of it's workers, it's still the world's 11th largest economy, and is steadily improving. And in case you haven't noticed, Mexico's new president has called off the troops, and the war with the cartels has been ratcheted way down. I'm not saying it's perfect, but it's alot better than many Americans are aware of. And hundreds of thousands of Americans live there fulltime without incident and enjoy themselves. And there are other countries that attract many Americans in Latin America, especially Costa Rica, Panama, and Ecuador.

Who's exploiting? We'll spend our money directly at farmers' markets, clean our own home, and do volunteer work. What you don't get is that it's not that they are so cheap, but that America is way too expensive. And have the high prices benefitted the working class people? Better to spend my pension in a developing economy than to stay up here and contribute to the wealth of a relative few.

It's the 11th largest because drugs are probably the largest industry in the world. If you believe otherwise you are just fooling yourself and Palin's got a bridge for you to buy.

Are you aware of all the manufacturing in Mexico? For example, most of the engines in American cars are built in Mexico, especially around Saltillo. Are you aware that Walmart, Sam's Club, Home Depot, McDonald's, and many more American franchises are all over Mexico now? Do drug cartels invest in business to launder their money? Sure, especially in the state of Sinaloa. But before judging the whole country keep in mind it's the American users primarily that finance the cartels. It's not the average Mexican that benefits from the cartels but the corrupt politicians and law enforcement that do. Most Mexicans are no more involved in cartel profits than the average Express employee in FedEx profits. And in all honesty, you sound like the xenophobic, jingoistic yahoo you claim the folks at Fox News are.
