How does UPS plan to survive in the future?

Do they have a plan to keep people from losing their careers?

I would think UPS is committed to reducing the number of employees that make UPS a career.
UPS wants people that work 4 - 9 years and move on to another job in their career field.

UPS has been working on non-Union reduction for years ... over 50% cut since 1999.

that's weird, the last 2 preloaders I've had, are now pt supes....
there's about 6 per side on our boxline.
Back when I was on preload, there was 1 ft and 2 pt supes for the same boxline

I'd say any question of UPS's ability to survive the future has less to do with market changes and more to do with how much more they want to bone customers in the name of numbers and metrics.
