Way to close together and too many of them as far as I'm concerned.
The lots are 1-8 acres. Guess they like living in a neighborhood. Sad thing is there is a fancy golf course in the middle whose owner basically abandoned it leaving the homeowners in quite a pickle.

We have a couple of housing developments here where the developers sold the lots and promised the new owners their road would be black topped soon. Ten years later they are still living on dirt roads, the developers have long disappeared and the township has refused to take them over because they are in such bad shape. Bad situation.

Remains of a 5,000 sq ft home that burned to the ground after a blizzard dropped 3 FT of snow in January. All the owners and neighbors could do was stand there and watch it burn because the fire department had to use tanker trucks, but couldn't get to the house. $850,000 in damage.

The Rural Fire guys around here like to say their motto is ''guaranteed to save your well and foundation". Its very seldom that a structure is "saved". When it comes right down to it a half burned house is harder to deal with insurance wise, clean-up wise and rebuild wise than one that is burned to the ground. Due to our FD safety regulations a fire truck can't even leave the fire hall without at least two people on board. Being that we have an all volunteer fire department and the station is unmanned that usually amounts to a small delay in even getting the truck dispatched. Then once the truck is on the scene they are not allowed to touch a hose until at least 4 trained firefighters are present.
