Why wouldn't you just go too your doctor and tell them you are having a lot of diarea and your stomach is really sick. You could tell the doctor you are having high anxioty. Then ask for a doctors note to get you out of work for a week so you can regroup and get well. I think only an asswhole would intentionally break his toe for this. I have a broken toe right now and working on it really sucks.
