.. I am glad you are celebrating the fact that my 41 year old clerk, who is a single mom with three mouths to feed is getting laid off..

Her permanent reminders of a temporary feeling are of no concern to any of us. She made her bed, slept in it and now has the trophies to prove it.

We will see... How much longer do you think the free insurance will continue? Right now you aren't getting paid anything. I'll give you canned goods to come shine my shoes....

In your new avatar, is that you on the right getting yelled at by your immediate superior when you don't meet the numbers? That person can't be a driver or a loader because they don't wear suits and ties.

We all work at UPS, so why the hell are you such a jerk to everyone else? Do you think you're better than all the other ups employees?

Because he`s maxed out his credit cards on the porn sites,he`s out of lotion and starting to chafe, and he has to take out his frustrations somewhere.

The latest hotline states that the company wants this crappy last and final offer voted on by the membership. Never will I give my retro back to fat cat managers, never will I pay for HC, never will I take a pay cut for fat cat grade 20s to golf on, and never will we vote on this low ball offer. Even the good mechanics are pissed about the retro and when these guys are mad that means everyone is upset. This phone survey will be like the one years ago and I (along with everyone on the payroll at that time) gave them an earful. Why should we pay for anything when this company is making money? I hope they call me soon so I can let them have the facts.

Lets just say we are being mediated to death. We have a 1929 law that keeps us from getting a fair contract in a timely manner, thanks to Pullman. UPSSUCKS, dont worry I got a 401k match, YOU DONT, I got free health care, YOU DONT, and I probably make more than you with free OT. I do not care why you gave up 401k match, why you pay for HC, and why you didnt a raise last year. BUT, I have a group looking out for me and until I get it or until we strike then get the industry leading contract. UPSSUCKS you will polish my shoes and give me 401k match and free health care. Thanks for giving yours up so I can have it. Cant wait till OCT.

Been busy the past week with the new job and UPS at night.

To answer/clarify airbuxfxr response from earlier:

I voted NO on our latest contract because they cut our health benefits and shafted new part time employees by making them wait 12months/18months. However, I would have rather paid a premium to keep what we had in place, rather than the new lesser plan. I chose to stick around because, on the positive side, I still had health care. Now I'm sure then next time around, our health benefits package will be cut again and we'll have to pay a premium for it.

I did take advantage of the reimbursement program for tuition and it was very helpful in assisting me in paying for my education.

It's never good to lose part of your compensation package, but you also shouldn't bite the hand that feeds you. You need to find a balance so that you can move forward.

I can't wait until OCT either. I am willing to wager I will be better off and happier than you will be..... I get more stock than you get matched just for being employed. I don't even have to contribute anything.

This phone call from an outside contractor should be like the one in 2001. I hope they call me first and I will set record straight. We all want full retro, the company owes us for services rendered and it is time to pay us with the interst they have made. I want the same 4% yearly raise the Pilots get. I want the same health care that I have because we provide world class service and the company can afford it, always have, always will. I want job protection, the warden wants us to take a pay cut then lay off, then dump more work on us. The only provision is his last and final is putting more C check cards on an already overloaded WANs. Every one called should tell the person that we are putting our faith in what the E-Board has told the company, we want RETRO, 4%, Free HC, and job protection, oh yea, brown pants and white shirts and tinted safety glasses. Just say it, and let the company hear from our members. The hotline stated that a few mechanics are willing to accept a pay cut, but 90% are NOT willing to give back to a profitable company.

I want, I want, I want, I want......... You aren't worth anything, you can't want. Your are replaceable, expendable, and more than likely lazy. Keep wanting because you aren't getting...... See when Peyton Manning asks for more money, he gets it, because his team needs him. You are a dime a dozen, UPS doesn't need you. Go stand in line at the soup kitchen, so someone worthy can have a job...

You don't contribute much of anything to Brown Cafe and your status here will change in the near future since you have ignored the Terms of Service.

I contribute my knowledge on all UPS subjects. You should be thanking me for enlightening you.

I am glad you are showing us how your center operates. Most posters here are from large gateways, hubs, and large centers, we see more problems on a larger scale. We all wish we were at a little center where everyone is nice, but in the real UPS world it is dog eat dog. I see you in a few months after the redraw and I bet some sup will take over your corner of the world. People like you that think you are MR UPS, sometimes find a younger more motivated guy or gal taking your job. I see you have alot of time stirring up troops so I bet you will be run off soon after the realingment. Good luck acting like an idiot at your next job, I bet they wont allow you to post against the ones that feed your family.

Does anyone remember what happened to Northwest Airlines when these same heated and sometimes misguided discussions happened? Let me refresh your memory they are history!

You show little knowledge about the way UPS works. The only way I could thank you about anything is for you to improve your people skills with other members of this discussion board. Calling people "scum" and telling them to "shut up", including another moderator, do not impress me in any way. You are on thin ice as far as I am concerned. You should try joining Teamsternet and troll over there, your brillance will be appreciated more.

Does anyone remember what happened to UPSCO when when these same heated discussions happened? Let me refresh your memory, we received the industry leading contract, VOTED IT DOWN, then UPS threw 3 MORE DOLLARS per hour and it passed. Yes November 2001, the world was in an tailspin, and the IBT brought us the best contract in airline history. OBTW, in '97 the pilots and mechanics at UPSCO had binding labor agreements and walk out shutting down UPS's most profitable division. The IBT rewarded the mechanics with the greatest contract in Aviation history. upssup, you are not too informed about your own airline operation, thank goodness you are not in a position of much importance. You must remember that UPSCO makes the most profit per piece and operating an airline is very expensive. UPS wants to run an airline and must pay the going rate for valuable service providers. If you knew how much a Captain made you would probably blow a gasket. Let me refresh your memory, we are making history!
