I was a cover driver when we went on strike in 97, spent a lot of time on preload after that until lost business came back.

That's what I did but only for a year after the strike. I worked doubles. Preload and then preload day sort. Luckily after a while I started wearing my brown shorts and carrying my brown shirt in with me to work "just in case" and one day they asked me to run some packages and pulled me off the sort. Pretty much drive every day after that.

It's almost like a different job. Sometimes when I have a real bad day (like today) Reminds me it's still way better than being a cover driver...
It is a 5 day a week job. Just saying...
I really was never a cover driver. Maybe that's my problem....
