Go early in the morning and buy the ones that have been marked down. Bring them home and either cook them that day or throw them in the freezer.

I make a good living but still shake my head when I see the price per pound of meat.

We usually don't buy them. Especially when I can get boneless chicken breasts on sale for $1.99

So many recipes call for 1 pound of ground beef....housewives have been breaking down large packages of ground beef and freezing them for years!!!

When I buy a lot of ground beef anything I'm not cooking right away I split up into about 1 pound each to freeze.
